Who we are
Dogtown Does is a community-powered nonprofit rooted in the belief that tomorrow will be better than today... with a little bit of work.
Built on three living pillars—Community, Green, and Good—Dogtown Does reimagines how neighbors show up for each other and their environment. We don’t just value these ideas; we treat them as verbs. To community. To green. To do good.
COMMUNITY
To community is to practice love in action—choosing connection over isolation and interdependence over individualism. We build relationships through neighborhood events, resource sharing, and visible unity. From pop-up farmers markets to volunteer crews in matching shirts, we’re building a Dogtown where people see community and want to be part of it.
GREEN
To green is to choose beauty, sustainability, and environmental health. We empower residents to grow gardens, share tools, plant trees, and imagine a Dogtown covered in wildflowers and shade. Our aim: thriving ecosystems in every yard, every block, every district—because healthy neighborhoods start from the ground up.
GOOD
To do good is to act when our neighbors are in need. Whether responding to unexpected hardship or offering a helping hand to maintain dignity and safety, we believe support should be swift, collective, and human. From food drives to emergency repairs, Dogtown Does shows up.
We start small: a garden bed, a trash bag, a song in the park. But we’re building something big—together.
